ADR

At Korda Sound Post Studio our specialty is ADR recording. Our expertise in this crucial area of post-production has been honed over an impressive list of major motion pictures and international television series whose principal photography has been done on our immense sound stage and back lot complex, and who have also done ADR while shooting is in progress. In addition, because of the volume of production activity at the Korda facility, talent needed for ADR sessions for their previous projects are often found shooting their next project on our stages or on location in the Budapest area. Thus, we also host many ADR sessions where the talent is in our studio and the supervisory personnel are remote. In short—we make it convenient for everyone.

Our resident engineer, Ferenc Lukacs, has been with us for 15 years, and previously worked in Hollywood as a sound engineer for 20 years. He brings a wealth of technical experience and makes sessions comfortable and efficient for everyone from the biggest Hollywood stars to one-line bit players. While capable of supervising ADR sessions, he is also expert at implementing the visions of directors and sound supervisors, whether they be on-site or remote.

At Korda, we are fully fluent in the remote connection technologies that have vastly proliferated during the Covid era. We can connect with studios or remote supervisory personnel anywhere in the world, with fully integrated picture and sound synchronization using Source Connect Pro, Source Nexus, Source Control, Zoom, Skype, or any combination of these—as is often necessary. We also are equipped to do Foley recording, editing and mixing; surround (5.1); and final mastering, (including M&E) soundtrack restoration and sound design/supervision. Our work includes feature films, television, documentaries, animation, commercials, trailers, and audio restoration for classic movies and TV shows.
