Soul

Korda Studios’ story began in 2007 when Hungary recognized the need for a modern, high-capacity film studio. The studio was founded by prominent figures such as Sándor Demján, a leading Hungarian businessman; Andy Vajna, a renowned Hollywood producer; and Peter Munk and Nathaniel Rothschild, two influential international investors. The studio’s name is a tribute to Sir Alexander Korda, a Hungarian-born director and producer who became a key figure in both Hungarian and international cinema, particularly in the British film industry. He was the founder of London Films, one of the most significant British film studios.

Since then, Korda has continued to grow, hosting major films like “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” „The Borgias „,“The Martian”, „Halo” and numerous international productions, attracting some of the biggest names in the film industry. Esteemed filmmakers and actors such as Jeremy Irons, Ridley Scott, Matt Damon, Antonio Banderas, Ryan Gosling, Will Smith, Mark Ruffalo, Emma Stone, and Willem Dafoe have all worked within our studios—just to name a few. As we continue to expand, Korda Studios has firmly established itself as one of the largest and most prestigious film production centers in Central Europe.
